Fun for All Ages with TRPR Programs

Fitness is fun for all ages — from toddlers to seniors to everything in between. All you have to do is find what makes you move.

Dance

Each class will be filled with fun and energy! Students will gain confidence as well as grow in their dancing ability! They will learn to work together and perform in front of a crowd at the Spring Recital held each year! Plan to attend Dance Camp held in the summer and fall!

Pony’s – 3 & 4 year olds

Day: Saturday

Time: 9:30-10am (I) or 10:15-10:45am (II) or 11-11:30am (III) *three class options available

Info: Class will consist of working on skills and technique for the first two Saturdays. The third Saturday, dancers invite and bring a parent to participate in dance with them. The third class will be held from 11-11:45am for Pony class I, II & III.

Cost: $25

Dates: August 4, 11 & 18 (Session I), November 3, 10 & 17 (Session II)

Colt’s – Kindergarten and 1st Graders

Day: Saturday

Time: 1-2pm **dancers are welcome to join the Bronco’s & Mustangs for lunch (not provided by TRPR) from 12-1pm

Info: Class will be run in a day camp style. Dancers will work on technique and routine. After the three Saturdays, dancers will perform for the half time show at a Roosevelt High School football game.

Cost: $40

Dates: Three consecutive Saturdays plus performance at football game, TBA based on fall football schedule

 

Hip Hop – Clydesdale’s (4-6yr olds)

Day: Saturday

Time: 12-12:45pm

Info: Class will consist of working on skills and technique for the first two Saturdays. The third Saturday, dancers invite and bring a parent to participate in dance with them.

Cost: $30

Dates: August 4, 11 & 18 (Session I), November 3, 10 & 17 (Session II)

Mustang’s – 2nd and 3rd Graders

Day: Saturday

Time: 11am-2pm, with an onsite lunch (not provided by TRPR) from 12-1pm

Info: Class will be run in a day camp style. Dancers will work on technique and routine. After the three Saturdays, dancers will perform for the half time show at a Roosevelt High School football game.

Cost: $60

Bronco’s – 4th through 8th Graders

Day: Saturday

Time: 10am-2pm, with an onsite lunch (not provided by TRPR) from 12-1pm

Cost: $80

Karate

Karate – Youth (7-12yrs old)

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to try a martial arts class? Now is your chance! Discover the health benefits of training in this highly popular sport.

The system taught is Kenpo Karate, a combination of many different arts morphed together. In class we will work on sparring combo’s, forms and sets, as well as self-defense techniques as a student advances in rank we will add in weapon training and some ground work. For our youth program we also address stranger danger, character traits of a “black belt” and the confidence of self-discipline. “I look forward to sharing my love and passion of the sport! See you soon, Coach Paula”

Time: 4:30 – 5:25pm

Cost: $85

Session: July 9 –  August 27

Please note, there is a Materials Fee of $60 paid to the instructor in the first two weeks of class to cover belt testing and uniform costs. This fee is reduced to $25 for returning students who already have a uniform.

Karate – Women’s Safety Empowerment Course (13+yrs old)

This karate class is designed to assist and empower women who are interested in going beyond the once in a whole “self defense” course and spending time learning to master many different techniques to deal with the fear of “the what if’s…”. In addition to the curriculum of a karate class we will be addressing topics specific to women and finding solutions to fears in a safe environment.

Day: Monday & Wednesday

Time: 3:30pm – 4:25pm

Cost: $85

Session: July 9 –  August 27

Cheer

Age: 5-12yrs

Summer Cheer is here! Join us for six weeks (12 practices) of Cheerleading! This program is taught by Coach Lindsey; the cheerleaders will learn a dance that will then be performed at the end of each season, with team bonding night and fun along the way! Ages for this program are 5-12. The cost is $50 and the cheerleaders will be provided with their own t-shirt to take home! Participants will be taught a variety of basic cheer skills/motions that they will incorporate into their dance for their performance. Practice times are 6:00-6:45pm, Mondays and Wednesdays, with a team bonding night and a final performance.

Babysitting Course

Our Red Cross Babysitting Certification Course provides youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. Certification requirements: must attend all class sessions, participate in all skill sessions and activities, and demonstrate competency in all observable skills. Offered in the spring and fall.

Recommended age 11–15 years.

Date: Saturday, June 9, 2018

Youngsters on the Move

Join us for Youngsters on the Move! This is an unstructured open gym time that allows your child to EXPLORE, PLAY and DO the activities they want as well as a time for parents/caregivers and children to play together! Three child maximum per adult present. Thursday mornings from 8:30am to 10:30am.

Recommended for ages 0-5.

Date: Starting back up September 6, 2018

Day: Thursday

Time: 8:30am – 10:30am

Cost: $0 (free!)

 

Start Smart Baseball

Age: 3-4yrs

Start Smart Baseball prepares children and their parents for organized baseball and softball without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Age appropriate equipment from Franklin Sports® is used in teaching throwing, catching, batting, running and agility.

 

Cost: $35

Practice begins the week of April 16!
