Fitness is fun for all ages — from toddlers to seniors to everything in between. All you have to do is find what makes you move.

Dance

Each class will be filled with fun and energy! Students will gain confidence as well as grow in their dancing ability! They will learn to work together and perform in front of a crowd at the Spring Recital and Winter Recital held each year! Plan to attend Dance Camp held this summer!

Pony’s – 3 & 4 year olds

Day: Tuesday (I), Thursday (II) or Friday (III) *three class options available

Time: 4:15pm – 4:45pm

Info: Jazz, ballet and kicks will be taught through upbeat music to bring in the attention of the student and let their creativity flow. The recommended clothing for this class is a leotard with shorts or a tutu, and ballet slippers.

Cost: $55

Colt’s – Kindergarten and 1st Graders

Day: Tuesday

Time: 5pm – 5:40pm

Info: Jazz, ballet and kicks will be taught through upbeat music to bring in the attention of the student and let their creativity flow. The recommended clothing for this class is a leotard or tight-fitting top with shorts or leggings, and jazz shoes.

Hip Hop – Clydesdale’s (3-6yr olds)

Day: Friday

Time: 5pm – 5:30pm

Info: This class is all about having fun and learning Hip Hop while dancing to upbeat fast-paced music! The recommended clothing for this class is a t-shirt with sweats or shorts, and clean tennis shoes.

Mustang’s – 2nd and 3rd Graders

Day: Thursday

Time: 5pm – 5:40pm

Karate

Karate – Youth (7-12yrs old)

Youth Have you ever wondered what it would be like to try a martial arts class? Now is your chance! Discover the health benefits of training in this highly popular sport.

The system taught is Kenpo Karate, a combination of many different arts morphed together. In class we will work on sparring combo’s, forms and sets, as well as self-defense techniques as a student advances in rank we will add in weapon training and some ground work. For our youth program we also address stranger danger, character traits of a “black belt” and the confidence of self-discipline. “I look forward to sharing my love and passion of the sport! See you soon, Coach Paula”

Please note, there is a Materials Fee of $60 paid to the instructor in the first two weeks of class to cover belt testing and uniform costs. This fee is reduced to $25 for returning students who already have a uniform.

Karate – Teen (13-18yrs old)

A class just for teens! Learn confidence, self-respect and physical skills that have the potential to empower you in a whole new way. Through this course you will be on a journey to setting goals and working towards a black belt as well as learning and growing into the amazing adults that you have the power to be. Along with learning karate and self-defense we will be exploring possible solutions to bullying.

Day: Monday & Wednesday

Time: 3:15pm – 4:15pm

Cost: $85

Session: 3/12-4/30, 5/7-6/25

Karate – Women’s Empowerment Safety Course (18+)

This karate class is designed to assist and empower women who are interested in going beyond the once in a whole “self defense” course and spending time learning to master many different techniques to deal with the fear of “the what if’s…”. In addition to the curriculum of a karate class we will be addressing topics specific to women and finding solutions to fears in a safe environment.

Day: Monday & Wednesday

Time: 5:45pm – 6:45pm

Cost: $85

Cheer

Age: 5-12yrs

Spring Cheer Camp is here! Join us for three weeks (six practices) of Cheerleading! This mini-camp is taught by Coach Lindsey; the cheerleaders will learn a dance that will then be performed at the Childrens Festival at RHS on 4/7/18. Ages for this mini-camp are 5-12. The cost is $45 and the cheerleaders will be provided with their own t-shirt to take home! Campers will be taught a variety of basic cheer skills/motions that they will incorporate into their dance for their performance. Practice times are 6:00-6:45pm, Mondays and Wednesdays 3/19/18 to 4/4/18 with the Childrens Festival performance on 4/7/18.

Babysitting Course

Our Red Cross Babysitting Certification Course provides youth who are planning to babysit with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly care for children and infants. This training will help participants to develop leadership skills; learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. Certification requirements: must attend all class sessions, participate in all skill sessions and activities, and demonstrate competency in all observable skills. Offered in the spring and fall.

Recommended age 11–15 years.

Date: Saturday, TBD

Time: 9am – 5pm with a lunch break

Start Smart Baseball

Age: 3-4yrs

Start Smart Baseball prepares children and their parents for organized baseball and softball without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Age appropriate equipment from Franklin Sports® is used in teaching throwing, catching, batting, running and agility.

Start Smart Tennis

Age: 5-7yrs

Start Smart Tennis prepares children and parents for organized tennis in a fun, non-threatening environment, without the pressure of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Age appropriate equipment from Head® and Penn® is used in teaching ground strokes, serving, volleying and running/agility.
