Get to Know Us!
Officially we’re called the Thompson Rivers Parks & Recreation District. But we’d rather you thought of us as your local Fun and Play District. Because when you get down to it, we’re the folks who bring your community health and fitness programs, recreational sports, senior citizen activities and special events to life.
Currently we operate and maintain six facilities across the Johnstown-Milliken area where you, your family, and your neighbors can come together in the name of fun.

Want to get involved?

And now for the formal mumbo jumbo
We are a Special District, funded primarily by local property taxes to provide and maintain parks and recreational facilities for the enjoyment of all its district citizens. We are not a city department.
The parks and recreation district is overseen by an elected board of directors and their appointed staff who are responsible for the programming and maintenance of its acreage and facilities.
