At TRPR, we believe youth athletics are all about fun, teamwork, and building lifelong skills—both on and off the field! Whether your kiddo is a future all-star or just looking to try something new, we’ve got something for everyone. Check out the descriptions below for all the exciting programs we offer and see what’s currently open for registration. Let’s get out there and play!

Join our exciting T-Ball program designed for young athletes eager to learn baseball in a fun and supportive environment! Players will build foundational skills like fielding ground balls, catching pop flies, hitting from a tee, and improving hand-eye coordination. Practices and games will primarily be played on grass fields for a comfortable and safe experience, with occasional use of dirt infields when available. As players progress, coach pitch will be introduced to help them advance their hitting skills.
We offer flexible sessions on either Mon/Wed or Tue/Thur, with morning and evening time slots to fit your family’s schedule. Season will run June-July.
Meets will take place on Saturdays, with State being in mid – July. Events include: long jump, softball throw, discus, relays, and many individual races. Season runs June-July.
Step up to the plate this summer with our softball league! Practices will be held twice a week in Johnstown or Milliken leading up to games starting after Memorial Day. Once games begin, participants should expect for their game schedules to occasionally intersect with their practice slots.
We’re looking forward to partnering with the Greeley Evans Youth League, giving players the opportunity to play in Johnstown, Greeley, Berthoud, and Windsor. The season wraps up with an exciting end-of-season tournament, making this summer a memorable experience filled with growth, teamwork, and fun. Don’t miss out on the action! Season runs May-July.
Step up to the plate and join our action-packed baseball league this summer! Our league offers the perfect blend of skill development, teamwork, and competitive fun. Teams will practice locally in Milliken or Johnstown and face off against teams from neighboring towns, including Berthoud and Windsor. With exciting matchups, skill-building practices, and lasting friendships, this is the summer baseball experience your family won’t want to miss! Season will run May-July.
Batter up, little sluggers! Little Tot T-ball is the perfect way to introduce your 3 and 4 year olds to the fundamentals of the game in a fun and playful setting. Through hands-on activities and games, your child will master throwing, catching, batting, running, and agility—all while having a blast! Best of all, there’s no pressure or competition—just smiles, high-fives, and unforgettable moments.
Parents, you’re part of the team too! Join the fun, cheer on your little star, and share in the excitement. Don’t forget to bring your glove! Season runs from April through May.
Bump, set, and spike your way into our NEW Spring Volleyball League! Created for athletes in 1st through 10th grade, this league focuses on skill development, teamwork, and a love for the game.Younger age divisions will enjoy in-house play, providing a supportive environment for learning and growth. Older divisions will experience play through a partnership with both Mead and Carbon Valley, offering exciting matchups and a chance to test their skills against neighboring teams. Spring season will run March-May.
Join in on the fun at this level of play, where the focus is on building soccer skills, embracing teamwork, staying active, and having a good time throughout the process. Witness your player as they navigate the world of soccer, picking up new skills and insights. The ultimate satisfaction comes from seeing their joy after signing them up for this experience! Season runs March – May.
Ready to hit the court? TRPR provides an enriching program to develop basketball skills and encourage a friendly environment. This is the perfect place to level up your game and make new friends! Teams are coached by volunteer parents with practices during the week and games on Saturdays. Season 1 runs: October-December (4U, 6U, Boys & Girls 1-2 Grade; Season 2 runs: January-March (Boys & Girls 3-6 Grade)
Get ready to run, pass and score in our high-energy Youth Flag Football program! Designed to keep kids active and engaged, this program builds more than just athletic skills – it fosters teamwork, confidence, and leadership in a supportive and structured environment. Whether your child is new to the game or already loves football, they’ll learn the fundamentals of the sport while developing coordination, strategy and sportsmanship. Most importantly they’ll have a blast making friends, staying active, and growing on and off the field. *Mouth guards required. Season runs August-October.

Inclement Weather Game Cancellation Policy
Decisions regarding the closure of game fields due to inclement weather will be made at 3 pm daily. Thompson Rivers Parks & Recreation Staff will update this website with any field closure information.
Please note: Individual coaches will make decisions whether or not to have practices when game fields are open.
